Jordan Pass: Save on Entry Fees & Visa Costs
Before arriving in Jordan, consider purchasing the Jordan Pass, which includes entry to over 40 attractions, including Petra, Wadi Rum, and Jerash. If you buy the pass before arriving, it also waives the visa fee, making it a great deal for most travelers.

Jordan is actually really easy to travel through as everything moves in a line.
Ultimate Jordan Travel Itinerary – Day 1-2: Arrival in Amman & Exploring the Capital

Start your Jordan adventure in Amman, the capital city known for its rich history and buzzing food scene.
- Visit the Amman Citadel, an archaeological site with panoramic views of the city.
- Explore the Roman Theater, one of the best-preserved amphitheaters in the Middle East.
- Wander around Rainbow Street, filled with cafés, boutiques, and street art.
- Try Jordanian dishes like mansaf and falafel at local restaurants such as Hashem or Sufra.
If you have extra time, take a short trip to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world.

When you’re at the Amman amphitheater, you can see the citadel on the opposite hill.
Ultimate Jordan Travel Itinerary – Day 3: Madaba, Mount Nebo & The Dead Sea

Leave Amman and head south with stops at:

Yes, it’s true! You can float without any effort when “swimming” in the Dead Sea.
Ultimate Jordan Travel Itinerary – Day 4-5: Petra – The Lost City
Highlights: The Siq, Treasury, Monastery, Petra by Night
Petra is the highlight of any trip to Jordan. Spend at least a full day (preferably two) exploring this UNESCO-listed site.
- Enter through The Siq, the narrow canyon leading to the famous Treasury (Al-Khazneh).
- Hike up to the Monastery (Ad-Deir), one of Petra’s most impressive structures.
- Walk the lesser-known Al-Madras trail for a different view of the Treasury.
- If visiting on a Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday, experience Petra by Night, where the Siq and Treasury are lit up with candles.
Stay overnight in Wadi Musa, the town next to Petra, to rest before your next adventure.

I am very proud of this picture! We walked a total of 26km in one day. Walking up to the Monastery exhausted me the most. 10/10 experience though.
Ultimate Jordan Travel Itinerary – Day 6: Wadi Rum – The Martian Desert
Highlights: Jeep tour, stargazing, Bedouin camp experience
Drive to Wadi Rum, a surreal desert famous for its red sand dunes and dramatic rock formations.
- Take a 4×4 Jeep tour, visiting spots like Lawrence’s Spring, the Mushroom Rock, and the Burdah Rock Bridge.
- Ride a camel across the dunes for a traditional desert experience.
- Stay in a Bedouin camp, where you can enjoy local food and gaze at the stars in one of the world’s best stargazing locations.
- Check out the information about a possible train ride – you can find it on the Jordan Pass website. It is a really fun experience and will only take 2 hours from your afternoon (including the commute to and from your camp).

I got to keep a “fake bullet” from the show. If you want to know more about the experience, you can watch my YouTube video.

- Al-Karak Castle, one of the region’s most impressive Crusader castles, located between Petra and Amman.

It is located just outside Amman.
- Pictured below, I am sitting in front of the said Cave, or as it’s called in Arabic – al-Kahf. You can do a guided tour, it was mostly done in Arabic. We were also allowed to take pictures inside the Cave.
